We provide care 24 hours a day everyday throughout the year. If you have a problem that occurs when our office is closed, you may contact us by calling (717) 972-2829 and wait until the Medical Bureau answers your call. The doctor on call will return your call as soon as possible.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. You will need to fill out a brief information sheet in order to establish your medical record. Please bring your health insurance information and a list of your current medications.
Be sure to acquire a referral slip from your managed care provider (if one is required by your health insurance policy). Please call your primary care physician if you have questions. This will avoid delays in providing care at the time of your appointment.
Your first examination will be a complete cardiac evaluation, which may take an hour. Depending on your situation, you may require a stress test, blood work or additional procedures. If you had recent testing such as a chest x-ray, stress test or blood work, bring the results with you or have them sent to our office in time for your appointment.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
If you or a family member experiences a life-threatening situation after hours, call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room! Do not drive yourself! Once there, ask the hospital to contact us.
Our physicians have privileges at Holy Spirit Hospital and PinnacleHealth hospitals. Our physicians also see patients who are admitted by one of Heritage Medical Group’s Family Medicine Groups. Our patients have the option to go to Holy Spirit Hospital or a PinnacleHealth Hospital.
We will file insurance claims for all of our patients and will ask you to sign an "authorization of benefits" form in order to authorize your insurance company to make payments for services directly to our office. However, you are responsible for the deductibles and co-insurance payments.
Pre-certification: If your insurance company requires precertification for admission or procedures, it is ultimately your responsibility to notify the insurance company of the scheduled admission or procedure. However, we will be happy to assist you with the precertification as long as you make us aware that it is required.
Credit Policy: Patients will be billed for balances that are not paid by the insurance. All balances are the responsibility of the patients. Payment plans can be arranged with our billing department if needed.

CRNP’s (Clinical Registered Nurse Practitioners) are registered nurses with special advanced education and training. They serve as primary health care providers for acute illnesses, management of chronic medical problems, routine physicals and health teaching. They are able to diagnose and treat, including ordering lab work and x-rays, giving prescriptions, and providing referral to specialists when needed.
Please try to anticipate your need for prescription refills. Do not wait until you are out of medicine before you call the office. Prescriptions called in before 12 noon will be called to your pharmacist before the end of the day. Afternoon calls will be handled by noon the following day. Requests on Fridays will be completed that day.
Please do not leave messages with the answering service to fill prescriptions. They do not have your medical record to verify medications or the authority to grand your request. Call during regular business hours only.
The following information is needed when you call: the name of the medication, how often you take it, the dosage on the bottle, the number of pills and the telephone number of the pharmacy you wish to have fill the prescription. The medical staff will verify your prescription and dosage and call the pharmacy of your choice.
Our hours are by appointment only. Please call us 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Emergency calls received over lunch hour between 12:00 noon to 1:00pm will be answered by the Medical Bureau answering service. They will notify the office of any urgent calls made during that time.
