National Nurses Week
Take a moment to ‘Thank’ a nurse for all their hard work.
Good morning. This is Dr. Joe Cincotta. Nurses - Nurturing, Understanding, Resourceful, Skillful, Empathetic, and Special. This second week in May is National Nurses Week, and there is no other professional member of the health care team more deserving of our appreciation and thanks. As a young resident I learned much from these professionals. As a more seasoned physician I have never stopped depending on their help, insight, and assessments. Take a moment this week to thank a nurse. There is a good chance that a time will come when you will depend on their skills and talents. And, if you are thinking about what to do with your future, consider nursing as a career. The opportunities are varied and the rewards priceless. You can make a difference in people’s health and make a contribution to our community through this vital work. Nurses need talented and dedicated people who are interested in serving others, in improving the health of our region, and in finding personal fulfillment in their career.
